Default I need tech opinions about possible new cam?

Right now I am running a TR224 cam....

I am thinking of running a 232/236 - 574/578 on a 114+2

Recently I did a couple of things to my 241 heads...

I already have 918's with Tit retainers on them

I replaced the stock intake valves with Manley pro series 2.02's
Exhaust valves are stock

These heads are unported...

I milled the heads .028 and my head gaskets are GM MLS's

Will I have clearance issues running this cam?

Its a big cam for stock displacement, but I guess thats the trend. The cam looks like an MTI R1 cam, which was designed for 383, but of course now seems small for that task.

I think you will end up with crappy low end throttle response and power with those durations with that LSA -- it will be all top end.

P to V would be a concern, I think you may end up flycutting to get it to work.

Wouldn't the 114+2 help out a little bit with this. Doesn't the +2 mean this would act simular to a 112 lsa?

thanks,
Crowley

I could see something like a 109, even 112 would be very "loose" on the low end, but I read that 114 +2 degrees advance. Idle of course gets interesting as LSA gets lower, but the power comes in sooner.

Stock verter and anything over a TR224 is a no no...
Put my VIG3600 in the car for 350 bucks and leave the cam alone.

You'll go at least .5 faster with just the verter change.
JMHO....
