Default Car runs erratically during heavy rain

I don't really know where to post this so I'm going to put it here. The past 2 times it has rained heavily here my car has acted funny. The first time, it just completely died while I was driving. I threw it in neutral and started it up and everything was fine from then on.

Now yesterday it rained very hard and there was standing water everywhere. My engine started running very strangely. With my foot on the gas driving at 2000rpm, the rpms would drop to 1500 w/o my pressure on the gas pedal changing, then it would go back to 2000, then back to 1500, etc. I pulled over and looked under the hood and it didn't look like any water was near the air filter. So I don't know if this was water getting into the MAF and throwing things off, or water getting into the actual engine and throwing things off. After 5 minutes or so everything would be fine. Maybe the front O2 sensors were getting wet?

No SES lights were thrown the whole time so I'm stumped. I'm going to change the oil tomorrow to be safe. Any ideas?

I believe it's the O2 sensors.

Definately the 02's. Check for stripped wires.

A previous car I had did that, it turned out there was an exposed wire on the o2 sensor and when it got wet it would kinda short out. I would check those for starters, and then make sure none of the other wiring is exposed.

Yeah I have the stock MAF.

So you guys are saying a wet O2 wire would cause my car to shut off?

Yes im having that problem right now. It makes the engine feel really sluggish and it vibrates to hell. Its never cut off on me, but it feels like it wants to. Its the O2 sensor on my passenger side. I need to change that and my abs sensor but havent had the time to do so. My car sometimes does the same thing on hot starts weather its wet or dry out.
