Default need advice ASAP - 99+ 6.0 LQ4 crank

I found a good deal on a 6.0 iron block LQ4 motor with head casting number 317. I need to know if this crank is the same for my Z06.
I am unsure of the year on this motor but they told me it was an LQ4 with 317 heads.

I recall something being different in the truck cranks but think it was for earlier years. Thanks!

My understanding is that the 6.0L and LS1 engines use the same crank.

if the 6.0 you have came with aluminim heads then the crank will bolt in. i believe the truck cranks are not lightened like the car cranks though, not that it matters.

it is the iron headed 6.0's that have a longer crank

that motor will bolt right up!! and yes, 9.4-1 compresion.

i am running a mostly stock lq4 and pushing it very hard. i have a cam, rod bolts, head studs and valve springs. at the track i turned it up to 13psi and a 75shot. so far on the street i have seen as high as 14psi and a 100shot and it is still hanging in there.

Yes, it will be 9.4:1 CR in stock form.

YIKES - I just saw your link to ebay. Dont buy from that seller. A local guy here in Dallas bought a 6L from them last year. It was a 99 shortblock that had the heads from a different vehicle. He got the motor all the way installed but the transmission / torque converter wouldn't line up properly. He contacted the seller, but they wouldn't do anything to help him. Basically said he bought a 6 liter and he got a 6 liter.

BTW - If you really are interested in a 6L, I have an extra. I'm in the DFW area.

"new" is a relevant term to some people. If they take a block then add parts to finish it off and it has never been ran, then it could be considered new couldn't it? Although its not GM factory new, which is what most buyers would come to expect.
