Default Tsp 231/231 .595"/.595" 112 Lsa?

Anybody have this cam? should I go with the 231/231 or 231/237? My dad wants to go a little bigger than the cam thats in there right now (02 WS6 M6, headers, a few bolt on's, tr224, 4.11's ). Thanks in advance.

231/231 should yield a bit better torque (at the sacrifice of a few peak ponies) than the 231/237.

My slow-shifting *** ran (cam-only, stock heads), 12.1xx @ 117-118mph on 1.8's and 1.9's on Nittos.
With a good tune, the 231/237 is great on the street.

The 231/231 has always interested me though, as more available tq is always welcome.

nice mph, easily mid to high 11's with a good 60' (1.6x). I ran my dads ride the other day and my no shiftin *** managed a 12.35

personally if i were in his shoes id stick with the 224...the 231/231 cam while a good cam probably wont be worth the $800-900 by the time your done buying, installing on your own and retuning it...but thats me...your 224 cam might be leaving 5-10 peak hp and 5tq across the board. IMHO its not worth the time, money & effort to do that swap.

yea you might what to wait till you get heads before you swap cams that way you can get it tuned just one time.

Yeah, He's been looking at getting a set of S2 5.3's. With the current set-up, (lid, slp maf, hooker lt's, tr224,) in put down 362 rwhp through cats and a 12 bolt w/4.11's. He now has a pair of Qtec electric cut-outs to bypass the cats. What would it put down with a good set of S2 5.3's (with the same 224)? and if he does go with a set of heads who should he get them from (PP, AS, etc.)? Sorry for all the questions, just like to do my research before spending all that money.

Thanks in advance
