Default F-body engine removal from top

Ill be pulling my motor shortly and ive decided to go from the top. My question is about how secure it is to lift using the bolt holes for the valley cover. I have some arp valley cover bolts and a qtp lift plate but ideally i would like to use the arp bolts with my engine leveler which attaches at only 4 places. Has anyone done this? I assume a assembled ls1 full of coolant is roughly 500lbs

I lift lsx engines out using a modified square/spread bolt carb lifting plate. All I had to do was oval out two bolt holes.

I lift iron block lsx motors with the valley cover bolted on and across 4 stock bolts (2×2) without issues. I also have lifted big blocks out the top using the same method on the carb flange with and without a plate. I have even lifted sbc motors with only two bolts from the carb flange using a chain and diagnally bolting it down.

I've even lifted motors by chaining directly to the exhaust manifolds.

Really any method works but I would defiantly lift from more than two bolts because I have bent them doing it that way.

Well the problem is i cant tilt the motor with my qtp lift plate. Technically it would be lifting with 4 bolts just 1 at each corner

I like to pull the motor from the top. I use a valley lift plate with the stock valley cover bolts. I pull them out as a long block, just make it as small as possible. don't forget to remove the balancer and flywheel and you will clear the front support.

See i was hoping to remove neither and leave the bell housing on and just angle it up and pull it out. In this fashion but a whole long block

Yes ive seen pictures of people doing that, my question is still, can the 4 bolts with washers placed at the 4 corners of the valley cover hold the motor?

I wouldn't see why not. I would think the weight would be distributed evenly.
