how reusable are head studs?

Default how reusable are head studs?

how many times could you have the heads on and off before you should concider replacing ARP head studs?

I believe that is the whole point of going to ARP head studs. The heads can be removed and installed an infinite number of times.

There is a bolt "stretch" spec on the ARP's. Not sure what it is but rumor is they can take lots of swaps without a whimper.

cool, but how much is "alot of times"?
if i remember correctly the studs were $200 but i'm not sure.

You can reuse them pretty much an infinite amount of times.

The GM block will allow you to use factory bolts about 3 times before you begin pushing the limits of the threads with all that torquing of the bolts. The bolts can only be used once because they are torque to yield. Head studs can be used for quite a long time with little to no issues if you do everything right.

I used bolts 5 times on my car and then conveted to studs. I've only used them 4 times since swapping, but on my blown mustang I've changed head gaskets more times than I can remember using the ARP studs in that block without a problem.
