Why not? Exactly, a .4 better 60' but slower by .2 to the 330'?

You can be nosing over through a 60' causing a 330' bog. A car spinning for the 60' is more likely to "slingshot" through the 330'

A sling shot that might equate to a 175-200 shot in second gear to get a time like that in that distance. To cover that distance in that time range I would want at least 700+rwhp.

Well maybe with 700 hp you'll hit 11's

Take it easy. I'm not saying you have nitrous.

How could your car have that time? 2.6 seconds 60'-330'. That's what a high 9 second low ten second car may do.

I did think that's what you were saying. I must have read it wrong. No big deal. Easy to misunderstand on a forum.

As to how it did what it did, I honestly don't know. It was my first time at the track with her. I got a delayed hook and went straight to 7300. Basically a rookie with too much car. Don't get me wrong, I feel like the car did better than the driver.

The third run hooked at the line and I bogged really bad, cut 5-mph off it. If I'd have launched at higher RPM when it hooked, the slip would have looked more normal. All I know is once first hooks I'm at 60 before I know it, second almost hits 85 just as fast. I practiced on the street but the track grabbed differently than the street. I was hanging on for the ride and really can't offer any analysis. I wish I could.

I know I keep repeating myself, but I just don't have enough experience at the track to be able to intelligently answer you, nor have I really studied time slips. My first two slips were pretty consistent though. First one was 11.41@124.6. 2.3x 60', 7.2 1/8, and the same 2.6 seconds from 60-330. It's just what it ran.

I wouldn't put it past his car to go faster than 10.5 sorted out. It should easily really. Hell I'll be looking for the 10.6 range and i don't have near that power. He did that in pretty bad da to.

I thought something was up with the time slip as well. I've never seen anything like it. When mine was a 402 it ran 7.0's @99. But that was with a 1.56 60ft. I'm thinking something was up with the timing system.

Great time jake. I'm glad the car is performing well. You get some more seat time behind her at the track and you'll have her down pat.

Just to get reference points as we have before talking, with mine I'm running 6.9x 1/8 miles and high tens thru the back end the couple times I've ran it out. 123 mph for me has been the highest trap so far. I'm still playing with my shocks at the moment.

Keep it up man.

Time slip really seems correct to me. With a better 60' he'd be mid to low 6s in the 1/8 and going mid 10s at the end. I think a lot of people here don't understand just how powerful this car is with mamo heads and a LLSR

Low 6s in the 1/8 is big power with a 6-speed and probably 107+mph. So I don't think it'll do that. That's high 9s and mid 130s usually. Of course, with a DA closer to 0, his time should correct to about a 10.9@128 and that's with no launch. So mid 10s is definitely possible in good air with a 1.6 or 1.5 60'.

That also calculates out to about 600HP which is about right for that combo.

Damn Darth, now you've got me scurred. We've got almost the same motor minus a couple degrees on the cam and I'm at least 6-800 lbs less. With my gearing I top out at 118 in 4th. Pretty sure my diff would explode with any kind of launch. Plus....no cage.

Okay maybe more on the cam. Forgot you went LLSR and a bigger cam. I'm still on the 225/227+114 with Johnson SLR lifters.

Aye, my plan when I get back from Korea is to drop in a Ford 8.8 and go to a 3.55 or 3.73. The 4.10 with a 25" tire is just too aggressive. Even with 295 wide 180 tread wear tire.

Sticks like hell in 2nd though even when it's 40*F outside.
