Default Macedo CNC Heads make 45 Horses on my 99

Had Macedo Motorsports in Orlando install a set of their CNC heads on my 99 Z-28, dynoed it on Saturday made a consistant 43-48 horsepower and about 20 ft lbs torque. Numbers were up all across the RPM band. Rain kept me away from the track, but the car revs much freeier, 5th and 6th gear even responsive. If weather improves I should track the car sometime this week.

44MAG, I traded some Viper parts with Macedo for the heads, I will call him tomorrow and ask the price and post it. Last year I had them install a cam, 224, 112, 566 lift. Rest of the engine mods are long tube Grots, Corsa catback, LS6 intake, Moser 12 bolt with 411s, and custom tunning by Tim Sloper.

With temps in the 90's and high humidty it made right at 400 rwhp and 370 rwtq, it made the same numbers run after run, we must have made 10-12 pulls and it was consistent, before the heads with just the cam on the same dyno with 60 F degree weather our best was 352 rwhp and 340 rwtq, that was the peak, most runs that day were around 340-345 rwhp. I was impressed how the car just kept putting down the same numbers in the heat and humidty. I am sure with cooler weather and a shorter gear the numbers would be even higher. Macedo had a specific cam for these heads, but I wanted to just do the heads to see what they would produce. With the cam he wanted to install, power might have been up around 415-420 +.

most likely very similar to the CNC brand heads norris motorsports sells... I'm curious to hear the specs on these ones.

The heads are not out of Tampa, Macedo Motorsports gets them out of Detriot, a connection throught his Viper guy that does his heads. I know that his Viper heads flow terrific and from the throttle response these heads seem to be great. I am waiting for all the details on the heads and when I have them I will post them. If there is a break in the rain and humidty this week I will try to track the car and post the findings. Car sounds great
