Well after 4 months with out my car got motor back about a week ago and put it in. All went well followed break in procedure and everything ran great except car needed to be tuned it was running rich. I use the word was because the motor is seized now. I was on the free way tonight and got on it a took it up to about 6k (keep in mind i did break in procedure to a t) out off no where a clunk and crash and my car is slowing down motor off i push in clutch and coast up a exit ramp. Tried to start again won't even crank starter tries to turn but seems like motor or something is locked up. Called AAA they come put it on truck and thats when I see the oil on the ground. No oil or anything behind on the ramp only oil where it was just sitting. Look and oil plug and filter are still in place. When car was droped off and i get in to put key in so we could push car low coolant come up on dic. i look under the hood again everything looks fine except it looks like there is coolant puddleing in right side motor mount area. I am at a complete loss as to what happened i can't even describe how angry i am now. 4 freaking months ago i decided to do heads and cam that didn't work out order new motor have to wait about another 3 months for it and a little over a week after i get it it appears as though it is done. I love Vettes so much but to be honest after hours and hours of work on it and and pouring out my own sweat and blood working on the stupid car i am sick of the dam thing it pisses me off just looking at it. Must be some sort of record thing had only like 560 some miles or so i think a little less. BTY I am still talking to company that built so for now i am not going to mention them as I don't wish to ruin a reputation unless they try to screw me over.

You had to of lost a rod and or piston and knocked out a hole in the side of the block where the oil and coolant are coming out. It happened to me so I know the feeling. Hang in there.

as someone who has been there a number of times myself, I know how you feel. And its worse when you pay someone else to do the work and you still have problems. Contact the engine builder and see what they can do.

How rich was it running?? If it was SUPER fat, I could see fuel getting into the oil and causing a bearing to spin/sieze... but to have it happen in so few miles, I dunno... even that explanation doesn't have the right "feel" to it.
Well, sorry to hear about it... good luck and let us all know how it shakes out with the builder...

give us more specifics on the motor, what kind of rods/pistons did you have. Compression ratio, type of head and gaskets etc. Man I feel for you cause I have been screwed myself, it sucks. Probably the best thing to do is buy a used stock shortblock and trade the car in. Then call it a day. If I get screwed again myself this is what I am going to do.
