Ask Phil what he recommends for his heads in your car.

Then take that recommendation AND your head flow data, and call Martin Smallwood, and see how/if he would change the cam.

Either way, have Martin Smallwood's opinion on the final cam specs, and absolutely have Martin grind it on the hand polished cam motion core with cam motion lobes with the cam doctor report.

Titan4 would be a damn fine match for either of those heads.

Here are a few quick links to people running our 2.5 LS6 heads as well. Most opt to run either 2.5 5.3l heads or the PRC AsCast heads now vs the LS6 which is why there isn't many recent dyno or track results posted on tech. I will say thousands of customers run our 2.5 LS6 heads. Those heads flat out perform. Since GM stopped making the heads at a reasonable cost we only port customer supplied castings. Given the inflated costs of them used is why most opt for different routes now.

If you would like any more info give us a call at (512) 863-0900. We would be happy to go over your combination and recommend the best heads and cam set up. We would also be more than happy to do a custom camshaft if needed for your combination on our new TSP lobes ground on Callies cam cores. Lastly, we too have the option to do a cam doctor report for you as well that will be printed out, not hand written. Just give us a call.

AI, TEA, PRC, all will perform similar in a well setup combo. Pick your flavor and enjoy...I am running a TEA 243's with hollow valves, mild cam, ported fast 92, and the setup just freight trained a bolt on tuned 2011 5.0 GT.

Funny thing is, that's also why GM built it.

At the end of the day, you need to go with what makes you feel confident. Research your options and make the necessary phone calls. Talking to these people will go a long ways in helping you choose who to go with. If you like the service or knowledge provided by tsp over tea, or advanced induction over whoever, you should probably use the one who answers your questions the best. If their service sucks, you probably don't want to do business with them anyways. Because, ultimately, all these options are going to yield very similar results.

You're talking about 3 of the best portings for 243/799s in the business.

You really can't go wrong with AI, TSP, or TEA here. They are all proven performers.

I love my 799s. 122MPH traps with an LS6 intake.
Just make sure who ever does the cam doesn't use a Comp grind.
