ring gap clearance issue file fit rings I have some Mahle file fit rings and the minimum gap in the instructions say .0045*bore diameter. I have an approx. bore of 3.898 so my gap would be around 17.
When I look in the service manual it says top ring is from .009-.0149 for the top ring.
why is this?
I'm thinking about running a 13 gap but i'm a little scared.... any thoughts?
