My thoughts, most people that spend that kinda coin on heads don't stay with a 4" bore.

Or people with 4" bores get heads better suited for said bore. Not that those are bad heads, just seems a bit much for that kinda engine.

Get the mast small bore heads instead. 240CC, better suited for a 4" bore. They are the least expensive mast head too.

Well if my bore is 4.030 is it still a over kill?
How do the mast compare to the tfs? Or even the prc 255cc

I have the first prc ls3 heads that came out and they were ok

It's not even so much about the bore itself but the engine size and overall setup.

For a street driven stock stroke 4.030 bore setup not spinning to 8000rpm, the 265cc LS7 heads are huge.

A MAST cathedral will work much better.

I have those MAST LS7 265 med bore on my 416 build thats just about done. It will definitely be running this Spring and we'll see if these heads really perform. I believe these heads were made for 4.000"+ bore, so you should be ok. I would call MAST to confirm.

I have a 4" bore 403" engine with the the Dart Ls3 heads which are 280cc. I only spin to 7500 RPM or so and I feel like the head delivered outstanding results in my RPM range with a broad horsepower and torque curve. Looking at the dyno results in my signature, I think most would agree.

So, while a 265-280 cc head may not be ideal for a pickup truck or mild build stroker engine, for a serious performance stroker, I think they can have exceptional results in the right hands.

Quick Reply: has anyone ran the mast 265cc ls7 heads on 4.0bore?
