How much can you hone an LS2 block before needing oversized pistons?
I have an LS2 block that will most likely need to have the cylinder walls cleaned up.
However, I am trying to determine what is the max allowance that the cylinder walls can be cleaned up before I would need to look into getting oversized pistons?
Kind of an aside question, but if I did have to go with oversized pistons, should I simply just bore it out to run 4.020" pistons or bigger/smaller?
Thanks.

You're going to need to go to at least a .005" over piston, once you put torque plates on the block and hone it minimum to make the bores straight and round unlike how they come from GM you'll end up with way too much clearance on a STD piston.
Don't bore it to .020" stick with .005" or .010"
