Detonation - 55cc heads
I have some CNC bigger valves and 55cc heads. I get detonation when the converter locks up in over-drive around 50 mph. Would reducing compression or is there a way to tune out the detonation while cruising. I get 0 detonation with the converter unlocked, so may be it is the increased load?
any help would be appreciated!

Raise the lockup MPH. By my calculations you would be around 1500rpms at that speed. Try to get it to lock up at 1800rpms or higher. If you need to travel around 40-60mph just keep it in 3rd that is what I do because I had the same problem.
