Default lunati 383

if i were to get a 383 stroker kit from lunati what would i have to do to lower the compression...i don't know to much about compression and stuff...is there certain pistons that i could get or something..i would want like 8 or 9:1 so i could put a blower on in the future...also seeing that im not too good with stuff like this...what compression would be best for a d-1sc or possibly f1-r supercharger...and how much boost and what kind of power could i safely run on pump gas...this would be with mti stage 2 heads and some kind of fairly big cam i haven't decided...because i don't plan on going fi for a while after the heads/cam setup...plus all typical bolt-ons...

moving this to internal engine section

but you should be able to choose the pistons you want, dished which will lower the CR (best way to do it)

since your not going to be boosted for a while i would stay at about 9.0:1, the 4 inch stroke would give you enough umph as to not feel laggy, it will be low enough to add boost, but high enough not to be too bad.

i lost my link to a compression ratio calculator, but doa search on google or something for it, you can enter your bore size, cc of heads, gasket thickness, stroke etc. then play with the dish of the pistions (in cc's) and you will be able to know what pistions to get.

Choose your cam wisely, you don't want to swap it out again when you install the blower.
