Default Changing pushrods, how hard is it?

Someone told me that the pushrods on the ls1's were inside the head or something and you couldn't take them out by just removing the valve covers and the intake manifold. Is there anything to this and how big of a chore is it?

It's cake. Remove the coil brackets (5 bolts), the valve covers (4 bolts), and then the rockers (8 bolts), per side. Dont need to remove the manifold. You will need a torque wrench to torque down the rockers to 22 ft/lbs and the valve cover bolts to 9 ft/lbs i think. Not that hard at all.

Sounds like you might be getting lifters and push rods mixed up. You have to remove the heads to access the lifters on a LS1. Push rods are accessed like stated above.
