Talking When a family member "helps" with a seized bolt.

Odd title I know. My bad. Here's the issue:
706 head. Exhaust manifold bolt broken off inside. No big deal, weld and twist.

Problem: I asked my brother to help with another one that I found and he uh.... "drilled it out"... with a 3/8" bit. I'd have to basically tap this thing for a 1/2" bolt or use one of those ugly dorman clamps at this point.
I would just get a new casting but I already replaced the springs and seals on this one and it's going into a derby car. But I also think I'm just asking for a water jacket to become intimately familiar with a confined space.

My thoughts: I'd have to take the head off anyway if i get a new casting, so may as well tap it and see what happens.

The hilariousness of this situation is not lost on me.

If your running manifolds, I’d just leave it alone. No telling how many broken exhaust manifold bolts I’ve seen on Oem manifold setups. Blows my mind. The manifolds don’t leak however with only 5 bolts in them. Headers might be a different story.

Fair enough, thanks for the input y'all. Dorman clamp it is. I'd rather avoid the JB weld because I don't know what heat soak would do.... I shudder to think.
