Default Which heads and gasket to get?

I have a 99 Camaro SS m6 with a stock bottom end ls1. For a cam it has a Streetsweeper HT (228/232 .612/.600 111 LSA). Intake is a MSD atomic airforce intake manifold with a 103mm tb from them as well. I plan on running 42lb injectors as well. My question is what heads and how thick of a gasket would you suggest? I'm trying to get close to an 11:1 compression ration but have enough ptv clearance. I'm also trying to avoid flycutting my pistons. All help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a slightly bigger cam than you, went with a cometic .040 gasket and had plenty of ptv with ported 799/243 head but every application is different, won't know until you measure. Getting those heads already bumps compression up to 10.5 and with that cam, i would think you could get a .040 gasket and mill some off the heads. Which would be ideal to do both but still need to measure to be safe.

Have you measured your ptv with those heads? How much do you think you could have gotten milled off comfortably?

I would go with 243 or 799 heads and a thinner gasket.

If you want aftermarket heads, Texas Speed has some 5.3 based heads that can get you to whatever compression you would like.

Best Heads MMS 220s, Best Value MMS 223 Sportsman, you have a
good sized cam and higher RPM Intake vs FAST, you need a great set
of heads to take advantage of both. Look at Darth V8r's build & Dyno
results threads, then call Tony @ MMS.

Default Felpro MLS = Legal

Sure, I too like Tony's head work.

I would use a FelPro 1041, go to that site, do some research.
This gasket @ .041" is the ONLY item with a Welded O-Ring.

catfish, idk i pulled my engine and let a guy build it. He said ptv was in the .150's i prolly could have done about .020 off but she is safe and will still make a good amount of power, especially when i spray.

Trick Flow 205s are a great head that is stock rocker friendly and @58cc will bump compression ratio well into the elevens with GM gaskets. The 2" intake valve plus the 13.5 degree angle would pair nicely with your cam or even have good PTV clearance wirh Ed's original Street Sweeper stick
