Default Schumann Oil Pumps?

I'm doing an LQ9 swap into my 84 Firebird and figure since I'm freshening up the motor with new rings, seals and bearings I should do the oil pump as well.

I always see people posting about Melling or a factory pump that is ported, but has anyone used a Schumann pump?

I read a really good review about their energy recovery pump but damn...$600 for an oil pump!

That is more than most people here spend on their motors.
