Default Ls1 reluctor wheel question

I was wondering if there's a difference between a 5.3 LS crank reluctor wheel and a 5.7 LS one reluctor wheel. If you line up the notches on the halves on the reluctor wheel the tangs that stick out line up with the indentations on the other half but on the 5.3 crank the size is the same of the indentation and the tang and the LS one crank the indentations are larger than that. Is there a reason for this?

That is the ls1 crank. The notches in the 5.3 wheel line up perfect, with no difference in size
