T-Rex guys, Crane or Comp springs???
Just wondered which springs you guys were running with the T-Rex? What is the difference between the Comps and Cranes recommended for this cam? Does one last longer than the other? Are the Comps worth the extra $?

Are these dual springs the Patriot "Gold" springs?

If so, then I should get those springs from TSP, then the T-rex, pushrods, and gasket kit from Thunder. A double roller timing set, ported LS6 oil pump, and ARP rod bolts. Anything else? Also, as asked by Badandy, do these springs require head modification?
I'm thinking the motor will have to be pulled for everything. Is this so, or is there a way to do all this with the motor in car? I read another post about using an engine hoist and dropping the k-member. Comments?

I have used three different springs with the TReX cam. I have found the Crane duals work the best. I would recommended installing a .030" shim under each to get the pressure up and get the springs closer to coil bind. These are available through Thunder Racing as well.

From what TSP told me, the Patriot golds have the best seat pressure and are made of a better material then the crane duals which helps maintain that seat pressure for longer. You won't have to do any head work, i.e. machining, with crane duals or the patroit duals. I know this because my buddy just installed his crane duals and I just installed my patriot duals. I'm not sure about the comp 921's. Patriot's are only 295 for everything and cranes cost like 375 or something close to that.
