well i was gonna say if you payed too much more than that then it would probly be better to go with a set of heads from one of the vendors like PP or something along those lines cause they aren't much more than that. But for 600 it sounds like a pretty good deal. You still have the stock cam?

ow that will hurt you more than anything, you really won't see the effects of the heads because of still having the stock cam. I'd be willing to say you will barely feel any SOTP gain in the heads with that cam. Just a guess tho, when I did mine I did it all at the same time so it's hard to say but considering the stock cam won't reach the capabilites of the heads you won't notice too much. Your $600 would be better invested in a cam and springs IMO. Let us know how it goes tho.

Really? that kinna sux, i'm new to the internal engine world, and learning about all this, what do you think these would be considered? like a stage 1 or 2 ported head? What would it do with my compression ratio? not to mention gas mileage since it's my daily driver.

check this out, here is a thread i was reading earlier what do you make of it?

I picked up 25 rwhp with hand ported heads (stock valves) running the stock cam and exhaust manifolds back in 1999. Headers were still coming on the scene at the time, as were cams. Later in 2000, guys who had long tubes picked up 40 rwhp by adding Stage 2 heads and keeping the stock cam. Once they found out they could gain another 40 rwhp by adding an aggressive cam, they did those too.

Thanks-justin
