Default any G5x3 guys running heads without having to flycut pistons?

i want the g5x3!
but i want to add heads later.
do i really have to flycut the pistons?
how much is that?

is there anything which is pretty damn close to a g5x3
but i can put heads on?
what are the specs to a g5x3 anyway?
is a tr230 close?
i think the t-rex cam is too much for a daily, right?
i heard the x3 can be made to be okay in a daily driver.

i mean close in performance in the the quarter mile,
not peak hp or anything petty like that.
thanks!

umm, did you miss the bazillion x3 cams threads in the last week or so . the 114 will fit with no flycutting, the 112 needs to be cut if memory serves me right. this is assuming unmilled heads.

Correct.

The X3 is also much larger than the TR230.

Also, remember, although it is supposed to clear with no flycutting on a 114, you should always check your setup before final assembly as you should with any cam install.

Forget the X3 then, that's the limit.
