Default Is my head ruined?
Was cleaning up my 241 heads for my gen 3 ls1 and found this crack/bulge near the valve . Picture below. Is my head dead? Appears someone went to far with a bolt at one time. I am putting the engine back together currently.

Yeah I'd scrap it. A 241 casting isn't exactly valuable. It would likely be cheaper to replace than repair.

Darn, guess I will start looking for some heads. Was hoping for a simple rebuild on this engine. Thanks for the info
