Default 5.3 heads and cam

I recently have picked up a 5.3 that I'm planning to swap. I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I'm looking for heads and cam package for my 5.3. With this 5.3 I will eventually run boost with arp, stock crank forged pistons and rods. But for now on the stock pistons rods etc. I'm wanting a heads a cam package that will give me some hp now but that I can still use when I put some boost to it. Im new to this forum

It's an iron block, lm7 I believe. I was told it came out of a 03 Silverado.

If you got some budget, AFR 205 a damn good 5.3 head. Add a 224/228 cam, good to go. Great little street motor.

If you don't have that much in the budget, 243/799 heads, ported by AI or livernois. Similar sized cam.

Advanced Induction Ported 5.3s w/BTR Spring Package and the LJMS Stage 2 Turbo Cam: 226/231 .605"/.598" 113+4. That'd be good on the street and would be ready for the turbo down the line.

I actually have 243 ported heads on my 2000 vette and love them. So deffinetly gonna buy some more 243's and get them ported. Also the reviews on the LJMS stage 2 Turbo cam look pretty decent I think I'll go for that cam as well. What lifters+Rockers+springs+head gaskets should I get for this set up?

For rockers, I'd say do the trunion upgrade on your stock rockers.
For lifters, most will tell you to get the LS7 lifters. Personally, I like Johnson short travel lifters.
For springs, I'd go with PSI-1511
Also, upgrade your pushrods. Go with 5/16"x.080 comps at a minimum.
For head gaskets, I'd go with .041 MSL

Short-travel help a lot of boosted applications especially on the exhaust side.

Shorty headers of course. And let's say stock intake.
