Default Oil pick up tube question; not fitting?

Traded a guy my GTO pan setup for his F-body setup. Installed windage tray/dipstick tube, but his pickup tube was caked with crap. So I went to buy a new pick up tube (GM #12558251) but it's too short. Won't bolt up underneath windage tray. Also wouldn't fit in the sump in the pan.

I'm guessing I got the wrong pick up. My pan is an F-body pan, #12558762. I need to find the right pick up for this pan. Thanks!

GM Part # 12558251 - GM LS1 F-Body Oil Pickup Tube.

So that's the correct PN. Maybe you didn't get the correct part?

Edit: just saw this:

GM Part # 12628771 - GM LS1 F-Body oil pan, gasket, drain plug and mounting hardware (Old GM Part # 12558899).

Are you sure you have an F-Body pan? I believe my pickup looked more like the top one. But it's been a while since I had it out.

Yeah the third pic is the bottom tag on my pan, which shows up as an F-body pan (12558762). I'll grab a side/top pic in a minute.

The silver colored pick up is the 12558251 that I just picked up today. The bronze colored one is the one that fits, but has a horribly filthy screen, which was the reason for replacing it before I buttoned up the pan lol.

Ahh I think I figured it out!! I do have an F-body pan. Seems I also was sold a truck or CTS pickup and windage tray. The pickup matches the windage tray, but when I just test fitted it all together, the pickup is too far back for the sump in the F-body pan. But the 12558251 pickup fits perfect. So I just need the correct windage tray. The number on the old windage tray (that fits the pickup which doesn't fit the F-body pan) is 12558268. Thanks for the help!

For search purposes, the correct F-body part number I need is 12558253.

Is the F-body windage tray not full length? Looks like it'd be the front portion that's shorter. Is that right? Part number 12558253 is what I got, if that's right.

Taking the GTO windage tray off and replacing with F-body pan setup.
