LPE GT2 Cam
205/212 .540/.540 116.5 LSA
Looking for a cam that will pass Cali emissions, hold it's own on the street also.
Right now I'm running the TR230/224. I can get a good deal on this cam. I'd just like to know what kind of power it'll put down with my current setup.
I'd also be spraying either a 100 shot or 125 shot on it also.
Thanks

i thought you had worked out what you were going to do about emissions when you came over here? if it were me i'd pick up the tr224 114 which is a proven cali emissions cam. not to say the gt2-3 wont pass as i have no doubts it will but from what i've seen that cam doesnt pick up much 2-4 as the 224 does, and they both make similar top end numbers.

Thanks for the advice.. guess I'll just buy the TR224 while it's still on sale..
Just one more quick question.. Will the TR224 make as much valvetrain noise as the TR230. Because right now I have major sewing machine issues.

my valvetrain noise with the 230 was in the normal range, had the sewing machine noice but it wasnt overwhelming. might want to look into some new rockers (HS/YT) to try and quite down the setup. i'd imagine the 224 being the same since the grind isnt all that different from the 230. what kind of numbers are you putting down and what are the specs on your heads. with a nice set of heads you dont need an overly big cam to make great power. which goes a long way here in cali.

I computer simulated the GT2 cam. It has very similar characteristics as a 2001 LS6 cam. If you compare the grind numbers, they are very similar to one another:
2001 LS6 cam 204/211 525/525 116
2001 LS6 cam 204/211 525/525 116
