Default Opinions on this cam...

Well i put a custom Comp Cam in my car last summer and i have seen a pretty good gain (.4 reduction in ET) with it. I am most likely going to do a head swap this winter or fall and want to know if i should go ahead and upgrade the cam again so i don't have to do it later. What do you guys think about this custom ground cam's specs?

Duration at .050 Intake 224 Exhaust 221
Lift Intake .581 Exhaust .566
Lobe Separation 113.0

Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how much i would pick up with a different cam? This is a very good emissions cam (since i pass with flying colors) and it is also very stealthy. I just need to know how much i might pick up with another cam. Thanks.

It really depends on what you're looking for. You will pick up peak power with a larger camshaft but will lose some of your driving manners.

Personnally I'd figure out what Heads you are getting and get a hold of someone who is capable of specing out a camshaft for your needs matching them to your heads, converter, gears and raceweight. my $.02

Werd. I'm looking at a new setup too. I'm thinking about...

AFR Heads
AP Engineering 6.0 Liters Ported w/ Welded Chambers
MTI 5.3 Heads
TEA 5.3 Heads
