Default oil in throttle body and intake

I took off the air intake last night and saw oil laying on the throttle body and laying in the intake....what can I do to clean the oil out without taking the intake off? what might cause this? I have 24000 miles on the engine and wasnt there about a month ago....

GM top end cleaner for intake.
Dry rag an some gas for TB.

This is a by product of the wonderful PCV system LS1 has.
Catch can will remedy or dramatically reduce.

Yeah definitely run some top end cleaner though the PCV system. An alternative to the aforementioned GM cleaner would be Seafoam which I believe can be bought at your local O'Reilly's and other parts stores. Definitely check with our sponsors AMW about their PCV oil catch-can to prevent that from happening again.

I also agree with the top end cleaner and catch can for the pcv system. It has dramaticly improved my similar problems.

When all this oil is getting into the intake and the throttle body, when you guys get on it does it smell like you are burning oil? I'm wondering if I have the same problem. When I get on my car though it smells like I'm burning oil.

The incredible CRAPPY PCV system on the LS1 and the enormous amount of vacuum present. These SYSTEMS SUCK on the LS1. Quite a joke actually.

No theres no oil on the filter and hasnt been for like 40,000miles, the problem just started today, it was worse before i took the pics, there was actually a puddle laying in the smooth bellow, the first time i cleaned it all, drove 40 miles and it was back to the puddle of oil....i think it may be coming from the hose that runs from the valve cover to the top of throttle body then seeping through the hole that leads to the front of the throttle body and running...but my question why did it just start today and not notice it ever before? Thanks any suggestions are helpful
