well if a cam is supposed to give you say 100hp at the wheels. (which is what an agressive cam is supposed to be), then that means if it only gives you 15-18hp that headers and intake would yield a gain of 85hp!!!!! That's just ridiculous.

Well, its not the headers and intake alone that would add that. The engine have the ability to breathe more air than stock, therefore the stock manifolds would become much more restrictive when compared to what the engine could be breathing.
