Default spun a rod...now what?

ok, i have spun a rod on my car. i have a recently installed TSP 231/237/ PP "ls-6" H/C pkg. since i am getting the motor pulled apart i figure i should go with some bigger cubes. i want something that will work with my current H/C. i am wanting of course the best bang for the buck. should i keep my block and do a lunati 382ci stroker or scrap my block and go for the 408 iron block. by the way i definately plan on spraying the new motor. any help would be appreciated. the car is a street/strip car. the rest of my mods are in my signature.

thanks

Stroke it. It'll have awesome TQ. It can hold the spray, too.

I personally am going to stroke mine...while keeping sleeve/block integrity, since I'm going to be running a fairly decent amount of boost when I'm done. Spraying shouldn't be TOO much different, both are going to require bullet-proofed components. I say stroke her, and spray the hell out of her. Iron block is good if you plan on a direct port 300 shot 408cid.......otherwise the aluminun LS1/LS6 block will do just fine.
