Would this setup be good for a full bolt on A4 with 3.42's and a 3000 stall?

I want something very mild in manor but has *****. It has to idle well. I've already got the heads so I guess the real question is would this cam be a good bet.

I'd look the TR 224 on a 114.

MTI Stealth II (224/220 116) might also be exactly what you are looking for. With just a 3000 stall you probably want the idle to be no higher 800 rpm

So do you think this comp cam would be to choppy? Would it be better if I got it in a 114 LSA?

If you want a stock idle, the the Stealth would be a good cam, like Ragtop says. But if you really like the specs of the Comp, then, yeah, it would idle a little smoother on a 114. I would imagine it would be close to a stock idle. You should be fine. Looks like a good sleeper combo with those heads, and matches well to your smallish converter.

I wouldn't buy an off-the-shelf cam I'd get all the info on the heads and the rest of the car together and contact a custom camshaft guy. Bauer-Racing is very good at this and is a ls1tech sponsor
