problems with stock rocker arms?
any one ever have a problem with the stock ones. I've heard that some times that the needle bearing come out of some and you can see it in your drained oil. My car has had a ticking noise for a while and I had thought it to be a bent pushrod...but its not, they're fine. I was told that the rocker arms should have no play in them if you try and move the middle up and down. All of mine feel, and move the exact same....and suggestions? comments...?
help is appreciated

stock rockers are junk.
look real close at them...the sides will be "blown" out..releasing the needle bearings..its tough to miss if you look real good. You usually find a couple sitting around up top.
I would replace them..they and the pushrods are the weak link on a stock motor.

Yep, happened to me. Had a retainer blow out and spill the needle bearings into the motor. Stock motor too. Do a search under my name, should be from a few days ago. Only reason I found it was b/c of the cam swap. But I called Thunder Racing, they said for the T-Rex, they recommend the stockers. I think if you don't rev to 7000 rpm though, they might recommend the yella terra's or something. They told me at the high rpm's, the stockers are actually best.
