Default SES light, need opinions

O.K. Last night I am heading up to Harrisburg. I get onto the on-ramp and hit the turn very hard (tires astart to squeal a little, rear gets a touch loose) Any ways, almost immediately after that the SES light comes on.

O.K., no biggie, I'll check the code on Monday. Now, today, I am hitting an on-ramp in the exact same manner as the night before (right hand sweeper, high speed squealing, etc.) and the SES light turns off.

My theory, is that the engine oil uncovered a sensor or something when I was hitting the turn. Is there such a thing?

Or, about two weeks ago I threw three codes saying that the knock sensors were bad. I used ATAP to clear the codes and no problems since.

How long does an SES code stay in the computer. If I hook up ATAP tommorrow will it still read the code? I'm curious to see what it was.

Anyways, I thought that I would ask for opinions.
