Default Will this work or should I get a refund?

To make a long story short. I purchased a cam in the for sale section based on the specs being.... 222/224 .563/.563. 114LSA... Because I knew this would pass emissions in CA...

Well, the real specs for the cam ar 224/228 .563/.563 114LSA... I have no clue if this will pass. If it can, I'll keep it... but obviously I'll need to get a refund if it doesn't...

Will it work for CA....

it would be super close its really too hard to tell some have passed with the 224/224 114 cam and good tuning so its a toss up...I'd just try to get my money back and start looking again or just throw a stock cam in and swap in the 224/228 when emissions has been aquired.

The 224/114 has a negative degree of overlap of -4
Yours have a negative degree of overlap of -2

It would be close IMO, maybe on a good day with a lean AF 13 or so especialy in closed loop.

Like the others have already said,
With a excellent tune, it will be close, maybe too close for your comfort.

so the 224/228 wont pass tail pipe emissions? what about adding a cat in the i pipe?

i used to have a fcam in my 95 gt, to pass emissions i used 3 cats on each side of the h pipe (a modified orh pipe) and it passed with flying colors

got to look for a -5 degrees overlap to be comfortable. Others can be hit or miss.
