i have a knocking noise comming from the passenger side of the engine bay. it cant be a rod knock because the noise isnt there when its below a grand, a rod knock would be constant.the engine is hard to start but once you give it gas for about 10 seconds the car will run fine, it just knocks or slaps from what looks to be the #6 cylinder . last night the car started making that noise and the car died out, it started right back up though. before i start ripping stuff apart i was wondering if you guys knew what might be the cause and save me a lot of time with the car. the oil pressure is at about 25 -40 at idle on the stock guage, and the aftermarket one is about the same. but when you turn the car off the oil pressure guage on the dash goes to 40 , which i thoughtwas really wierd.
the car is an 00 z28 with about 39k on it. any help would be appreciated.
