Default Will I be able to drive the car after cam install?

I am getting a Comp 224 114LSA installed on my 2000 A4 Corvette. I have to drive about 2 hours to get tuned after install. Will it hurt anything? Will the car drive allright? Thanks

you'll be fine, might have a bit of surging here and there but nothing major.

Like jrp said, you will be fine. You may be surprised just how normal it does drive.
The A4 part is your only issue, I helped a bud put a 224 in and he did not get it turned for months, ran like a champ and started like stock. it was a M6 though.

I have a 5.7 in my 03 silverado and am thinking about going with this cam also.. But I have one question what would the difference be between a 112 or a 114 LSA?

The guy that is puttin the cam in has advised me that since I have to drive to get tuned (about an hour and a half) the cam may cause misfires leading to my TC locking and unlocking which may cause the tranny to heat and get damaged? Any experience with this? Thanks

i just installed a 222/224 .566/.568 114 in my M6 a few weeks ago and it runs fine without a tune.... it started right up with NO problems at all....
i broke in my dual springs with about 5 heat cycles before taking it to redline...
DAMN! cams are bad ***!
i have a little low speed surging but not much! and it idles perfect at 750rpm...
you should be fine!
although every car is different and some cars taking longer to adjust to big changes.

i wouldnt sweat it...as long as you have a tranny cooler with that converter that is but it locking and unlocking is common but not nearly as much with a 114 lsa...check my sig i made it 50 miles for my tune now that was a drive lol just make sure if it is locking and unlocking tell your tuner so they can desensitize the missfire tables a bit so it wont unlock on u.
