Default Rollmaster double roller + TSP ported LS6 oil pump=no clearence!!!

Appearently, the shims that come with the Rollmaster double roller aren't thick enough. How much clearence should there be? If I were to tighten the oil pump bolts all the way, it would completely stop the chain and crank from moving. Anyone else have a problem like this? If I make new shims (my only option I think), will the pulley fit on the crank snout???

Make sure the crank sprocket is on all the way before you shoot your car. I was thinking the same thing you were, but my sprocket wasn't on all the way. Clearence is tight, but here's mine

You can see the spacer too for the oil pump, is it about as think as yours?

Yeah double check your sprokets on both the cam and the crank. One or both might not be in all the way causing the issue. The 3mm spacer provided had been fine on all the installs I've done not on issue. Not saying that you could be the luck winner of the one defective one just that the ods are in favor of a mechanical problem like the cam gear and crank gear aren't on 100% etc... They are close but they don't hit as you can see from the above pics when installed properly. Good luck Hope these ideas help you get it. Oh and about the larger spacer and pulley thing the balancer/pulley is going to rest on the crank gear and not the oil pump at least that ia how it is supposed to work. You might have to have the pulley cut down to clear if you choose that route.

Thanks for the info guys. The sprocket on the crank just needed pushed back a bit further. It looked so close to the block before, I was reluctant to try to push it back any further. But all is well now. It's a tight fit. Back to assembly...
