Default I want a better cam, need help.

hi,
i'm looking at getting a better cam for a current setup on a car i am buying next month.
Car is a '02 Firehawk. Its a friends car.
-He has stage 1 cnc-ed LS6 heads that where millied .030.
-TR 220 cam
-slp long tubes / oryp
-gmmg chambered exhaust
-asp pulleys
-factory ls6 intake
-and 373 gears in back
The car dynoed right at 400hp and like 389 tq.

Not too bad, but there is more to be made and i like the lope on 112's, or 113 lsa cams.
Car is going to be a daily driver, and will have a tnt 100 shot on it also.
I want a cam that will throw the power in the 420 to 430 area, and one that would be nice for the bottle also.

Any suggestions?
thanks , and i hope that you guys dont hate these kind of posts lol

TSP 231/237 loves the 100 shot, has a very agressive sound, and is very streetable with a decent tune, but if it's an auto, stick with the 114 lsa, or it can be a PITA on the street.

definitely look into a cam with a bigger exhaust duration than intake. i hear single pattern cams work well, but a cam with more exhaust than intake is definitely ideal for sprayin. someone correct me if im wrong

I have heard great things about that cam, but will it work fine with the heads being milled .030? Isnt that too much lift for the heads or no? 112 would be perfect. The Hawk is a M6. I gotta bang some gears ; )
ANyone running Ls6 heads with that cam?

You are going to have the check the P/C for any cam. The heads are mill a lot and any higher lift cam with cause you a lot of head aces.

i am in the process of picking up a brand new 231/237, and i plan to spray her. i've heard great things about that cam and spray, and we all know ls1's love spray to begin with. its a 112, it lopes mad crazy(not like a t-rex or a g5x3) but its still got a nice sound to it. can be tuned very nicely, and will put you right at the numbers you're looking at, people w/s2 ls6 heads are looking at 440rwhp+ w/this cam. i'm gonna use the new patriot dual gold valve springs btw.

So any higher lift cam will cause a lot of headaches but this one wont? Are you saying that it would work fine?

Is the car a 6 speed??? I would get all the info on the heads and get a hold of someone who builds custom camshafts.

That is a Turbo cam.

If you do not want to go higher than 100 shot N2O, then do not let the nitrous decide what cam you need. You can spray ANY cam up to 150 shot, all results being within minimal differences.
You only need bigger exhaust duration split if you go higher than 150.

I would recommend the MTI X1 cam. Really good performer N/A and kicks *** on small nitrous shots.

That LPE cam was in a car that is said to be the fastest heads/cam setup in the U.S. It was comboed with the Ls6 heads that were ported by LPE...the car ran consistant 10.50's at 128! THats wild.... what makes you say that its a turbo cam ??

Alright the TR 224/227 reverse split cam from a graph i saw seemed to be alittle more potent than the TR 224 112, and it said that its a nitrous cam.... how do yall fell about that?
I will look into the MTI X1. thanks
