Default "detonation" ugh!!! #$%@! HELP

First I would like to say hello to all. I'm new to the LS1 world I bought my 2001 SS 2 years ago and got deployed to KOSOVO for a year. The only thing I have done to the car is A Hypertech 160 degree thermo and Power programming. It has SLP 4 chamber exhaust. Other than that its stock. ( Oh I almost forgot I had to replace the rubber on all 4 corners, those things never last very long when I drive). Any way heres my problem I have detonation when I mash the go fast pedal. It doesn't do it when I evenly accelerate even when i accelerate quickley, only when I floor it. I have good fuel pressure, the ecm is working(ran it with a snap-on scanner attached to it) The only programming mods are shift firmness 100%, top speeed limit gone, adjusted fan for 160 thermo, Redline lifted to 6500, and trans shift speed increased. If anyone can help I would really appriciate it. Thanks and I hope to see all of you around in here.

ok.....
could be a few things...
what kinda fuel you running?

the easyest (and best) way to find out for sure is to get it on a dyno, with wide band and auto tap.

Check your spark. Don't know for sure though.

Get rid of that HPP3. Put in some 93 or 94 octane gas. Get to a dyno and check your A/F.

14.7:1 is the optimal A/F ratio.

14.7 seems on the lean side to me.... i would not trade the 1-2 hp for the risk of detonation....

13 : 1 has always been my fav...

We're talking real world here, not stoichiometric ratios.

That what I have mine running. It works out well at high speeds/high RPM.
