Default What length pushrods do I need???

I had my stock LS1 heads hand ported rather extensivley(did not mill heads), put some Patriot dual springs, Comp cams oem replacement lifters, still the ole Hotcam and LS6 valves. Can I still use the 7.400 hardened pushrods I have or do I need something shorter? Thanks!

Same cam, same head height, same pushrods. If they worked before, they'll work now.

Even if the valves are longer in length? This is the only thing i can think of thats causing the chattering I am hearing once the motor gets warm.

LS6 valves are longer because the LS6 cam has smaller centerlines.
So to cure your chattering you need 7.35 p-rods. right now you have too much preload and your lifters are bottoming out. (Could collapse)
Hope this helps.

I'm confused, I thought you only had the heads ported? Other than the PP springs and comp lifters, what else did you replace?

I added some LS6 valves when they were reassembled since I thought my old ones might have been bent.

No problem. Thanks for the help though, I am reassembling now that the correct size p-rods arrived. Hopefully tonight
