read that ls1howto write up until you know it by heart. have all your **** together before you start. if you have questions as you go along, search, then ask on here, something is always there to help. and if you are not a very patient person, you better pray for temporary patience while doing the valvesprings. good luck!!

Get all your tools ready, lubes, zip locks, plastic bags, rags (lint free), establish a clean work area.
Stay organised.
Think out of box.
Take your time
Triplecheck anything
DO NOT take shortcuts.
DO NOT always take the cheaper option. (evaluate all others)
A cold beer helps!
