That is 475fwhp and is expensive IMO.

MTI 475 HP Heads and Cam Package

MTI's 475 horsepower heads and cam package provides a substantial increase in horsepower and torque over the base engine power level. The LS1 Camaro/Firebird come under rated from GM at 305 HP where they actually produce 345 HP on the dyno. The engine is nearly identical to the LS1 Corvette engine. With the MTI heads and cam package, drivability, reliablity and fuel mileage are unchanged from stock creating no sacrifices for the additional 120+ horsepower. This package is designed to run on premium fuel (93 octane) and requires no special maintenance proceedures.

MTI's 475 HP Heads and Cam Package Includes:
Stage 2 LS1/LS6 Performance Aluminum Cylinder Heads
Custom LS1/LS6 Camshaft
MTI LS1 Power Induction
1¾" Ceramic Coated Header Set with Y-pipe
Corsa Stainless Steel Exhaust System
Complete Gasket, Bolt and Accessory Kit
LS1/LS6 Computer Tuning
MTI Underdrive Pulley Kit
Note: Please add $1,200 for a new set of LS6 heads..
Note: Results will vary with combination.
Description Price
MTI 475HP Heads & Cam Package (98-00 models) includes LS6 intake manifold - Installed $8,495 +exchange
This is just an exemple of what I would recommend:
MTI's 475 HP Heads and Cam Package Includes:
Stage 2 LS1/LS6 Performance Aluminum Cylinder Heads
(Patriot 98 Stage II)=$ 999
Custom LS1/LS6 Camshaft (TSP 225/225, .589/.589 112 = $399)
MTI LS1 Power Induction (FTRA or SSRA) $250
1¾" Ceramic Coated Header Set with Y-pipe (Pacestters coated+ORY= $650)
Corsa Stainless Steel Exhaust System (TSP true duals=$250??)
Complete Gasket, Bolt and Accessory Kit (TSP kit= $250)
LS1/LS6 Computer Tuning (Tuning dyno $500, mail $300)
MTI Underdrive Pulley Kit (March pulley with belts, Thunder Racing=$209)

Total is around $3500+ p-rods, lubes, oil, coolant and misc (LS6 intake)= maximum around $4000>4500 in parts.
If you can't do it yourself add another $1000 for installation and it comes out at about $5000.00>$5500.00

Now that is substantially cheaper than $8495.00

That package will give you at least 400>420rwhp depending on the pro that tunes it for you.

Now please do not get me wrong and MTI stands up behind their product, but they are a bit on the expensive side IMO

MTI is a great shop from what almost everyone says. That being said, $8,500 for a H/C + exhaust package is very expensive. If you're interested in spending that much money I would go bigger cubes ( 408 for example ) or FI.

To answer your original question -- I would add a new timing chain to the recipe.
