The block is going to run you about $6500 and each bare head will cost about $1150. Check www.GMPartsDirect.com

Katech makes the C5R engine. You can order a C5R crate engine from Katech for $25,000.

We have ready access to the C5R parts at all times. We're currently building up a '99 C5 with a C5R 427 cid with a supercharger. It ought to make for a fun setup.

SDPC is one of the sponsors who carries the parts, and probably moves more GM parts than anyone in the country. GM PArts direct can kill you with the shipping on many parts (like heads and blocks).

Katech builds the C5R engines, they are cast by someone else. Katech is alos the only one who does dry sump motors, all the rest are wet sump.

About the cheapest I have seen a C5R block is from Fred Beans Buick on Corvetteforum.
