Default for you guys with H/C need advise

i have a ta with flp lt's borla, ls6 intake, moser 12bolt 411's i want a set heads but dont know if i should get 5.7, 5.3 or 6.0 heads yet. all i know is that i want between 400-500hp on h/c only i need help finding a company to go with heres my options..

MTI S2 2.055/1.60 $2795
LG S2 2.02 /1.60 $2295
MMS S2 2.02 /1.60 $1699
Speedaholics 2.055/1.57 $2395

Now other than price if all the specs are closely the same why shouldnt i go with the cheaper ones. i dont know much about the 2.02/2.055 or the 1.57/1.60 numbers.
this cars driven daily with occasional street racing what should i be looking for as far as getting my $$$ worth
my cam of choice is probably F1 or the X1

thanks

The TEA 5.3 stage 2 head loves the F1 cam. Can't beat the price either.

For the money you really can't beat TEA heads. They make great power, and are very consistent since they are CNC heads. TEA might not be the ultimate heads, but its certainly a lot better putting that $1000 savings into some other go fast goodies

I'm sure there are some decent lower priced heads out there, but on an LS1 , I would not cut corners on the heads . There are many differences besides the just the valve size. The MTI heads are the ULTIMATE performance head. You say you want these for your daily driver right? My wifes' car is her primary daily driver with the MTI stage 2 heads and the baby C1 cam. 10.90s with a 1.43 60 ft 3450 lb daily driver ain't to bad in my book. This is with a Yank ST3500. A very mild set up for ultimate efficiency. The Heads were the key to this sleeper package. Yeah, I had good air to get those numbers, but we bracket race very regularly and even last week with a low stall launch in full street trim (except the ET drags) she dialed in at an 11.27 (+1050 DA) and ran an 11.28. That's full interior , exhaust and a low stall launch (1.5460 fts) to minimize drive train wear. This set up can't be beat IMO. Yeah there are some cheaper heads out there , but are the results going to be the same? I'd trust Jayson and the MTI crew on this one. Good luck and keep us posted. I'd sure hate to say I told you so unless it's the positive results that we are discussing.

The 5.7 heads are a good choice. The 5.3 offers a smaller combustion chamber, therefore a higher cr. The valves are smaller however, and you would want to upgrade them. The 6.0 heads have a larger combustion chamber, which decreases the cr. These are good for blowers ect...
The LS6 heads are the best. The are similar to the LS1 heads, except for the D shaped exhaust, which helps exhaust flow. Also the combustion chamber is slightly smaller..

But for the money a good set of ported 5.7 heads are your best bet. As far as which company offers the best heads. Do a search and check the flow numbers on the heads...
