6.0L Rods?? How tough???
Whats the most you would put some 6.0L rods thru??? I am thinking of a Forced induction set-up or a Nitrous set-up, and I was gonna just change out the Pistons and rings, but how much will the Rods hold with ARP bolts??

When to say when!
Whats the most you would put some 6.0L rods thru???
Made several passes at approx 550 rwhp
@ 680 RWHP bent all 8 rods... In the first 330 ft
So tried again @ approx 610 rwhp and ..........
Bent all 8 rods again.....
What can I say the rods were readily available and I wanted the answer to this question also! So to answer your question 550 rwhp..
Parish8 is using stock 6.0 rods. He has put it through 16psi, or 13psi and a 75-shot.
Cant help but think he is pushing more than 550!
Call me crazy but sometimes it seems that if you just get the right mix (or I like to use the word "Recipe") you can defy the norm... Cant explain it.. It just works. It appears Parish has achieved that....
I am sure alot of it has to do with how and when you get your horsepower.
This is my .02 hope it saves you some $

Well looks like I might just go the Stock rods with ARP route then, save a little money and I dont think I will be doing over 550rwhp with a Cam and Nitrous (not gona run that big of a shot, maybe 150 tops) I was gonna use my G5X3 Cam with some LS6 style heads (patriots maybe) and a shot, was thinking of running Boost but I think that will be a long while, thanks for the advice and anybody has any other suggestion please chime in

IMO, if you're considering boost or N2O and you're already going to be in there, I'd just replace the rods...shoot ARP bolts are 100 bucks...then you need to have the rods checked and machined for concentricity, if you're going to do it correctly, and then install slightly oversized OD bearings. You can get a set of Manley Sportsmans for ~$500. High torque from boost/N2O at lower engine speeds will do the stock rods in. Its a torque issue, not hp for whether or not the rods will live...then rpm comes into play.

Ive seen several sets of bent 6.0l rods at the 450-550 rwhp level....they literally bend and the car still kinda runs....
Id say use stock ls1 rods over 6.0l rods, because ive yet to see a bent ls1 rods, they just break eventually
