Question If you could get a Hotcam for $300...

If you could get a Hotcam complete with LS6 springs for roughly $300 would you go for it? Assuming you already have all the other bolt ons (headers, intake, exhaust, suspension etc.).

Well, you could also spend a couple hundred dollars more and get a cam that makes 30 more horsepower than the Hotcam. If that's not important to ya, then go ahead with the Hotcam purchase.

No! I'd rather spend the extra cash to have a cam that would fit my needs.

If those are the specs you're looking for then get it. If not, wait and get what you really want. Don't skimp on a mod b/c that's all you can afford. Save the money and buy what you really want.

Hold out for what you really really want hehe

Although $300 for a complete hotcam kit is a good deal.

Isn't it on summit racing for like $400 brand new (compete kit)?

Its a hotcam, so no.

Realisticly, you could buy a used cam and new springs from a member here can be 20+ hp better off with equal spending.

(and better idle, better gas mileage to boot!)

only if you can't really afford a better cam and valve springs. I didn't want to spend the extra money so my hotcam is fitting my needs (for now)
