Default Upgrading Stock ConRod Bolts to High Strength Bolts?

Is it incorrect to replace the stock Connecting Rod bolts by exchanging them one for one while attached to the crank?
What Brand do you recommend?
Lastly, is there a specific torque cycle I should go through?

No need to jump on this right away. I'm just considering changing out the stock connecting rod bolts with ARP's, however, I want to make absolutely sure un-screwing the rod bolt and replacing it with an ARP won't cause me any problems.
