Default ok this may get messy

Who has proven to be the most consistant (in a good way) head porter to date? What i mean is who's heads flow pretty much the same from one set to another? I know i repeated myself, couldn't deside which one sounded better so i put both.

I haven't really heard anything bad about GTP. TEA also has their act together.

I would say TEA or Lingenfelter. MTI's are also pretty consistant.

you have to look past the flow numbers and look at the combo. from that aspect Cartek, LGM, TEA, MTI, AS, have all been proven at the track and dyno.

Can't go wrong with MTI, TEA, AS, GTP, APE, Cartek, pretty much all of the ones done by the sponsors of this board, IMO.

Once you are using a CNC program, you will produce nearly identical numbers between sets of heads. However, most porters finish the heads by hand, therefore introducing a chance of variation. Provided, you have competent people doing the finishing work, the numbers should be pretty close. I have seen certain sponsors on here admit that there can be errors in the hand finishing process, and that if you see that on a flow bench, you can send them back and they'll fix them for you.

"Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds". What about heads that are consistently bad? I would be inclined to get AFR, LPE, or MTI heads. I don't care about consistency. I care about proven numbers.

Consistancy would show that the "proven numbers" are repeatable. Consistancy would also assure me that I'd be GETTING the "proven number" with the heads that I purchase!
