Default Hey Patman...oil question for you.

I was in the store the other day and saw that Mobil 1 has a new weight of their synthetic oil. It is a 15W-40 weight. It says it is geared towards SUV's. Do you have any testing data on this oil? I am currently running
0W-40 with great success. It has stopped the oil cunsumption problem (1 quart every 3K) that I was having when running the 10W-30 but like everyone I'm always looking for the best protection I can get.

It's actually Mobil1 Truck @ SUV 5W-40 Synthetic. The additive package is very similar to the Mobil Delvac 1 5W-40 most truckers swear by. It's a great oil that I would use over 0W-40 M1.

Ryan is correct, the 5w40 M1 is very much the same as their Delvac 1 5w40, which is a very popular oil with the trucking industry. It's a "fleet" oil, meaning it can be run in gas or diesel engines.
